NGAKE - of Ngake and Whātaitai

Key scene + Storyboards depicting the moment the taniwha Ngake leaped out of the confines of the lake he lived in, into the ocean. Ngake hit the cliffs with so much force he shattered the rocks and boulders, forging a pathway through to Te Moana o Raukawa. This was part of a team project where we developed the story of Ngake and Whātaitai into a 6 minute film set to music, and created the conceptual development for the project. I was in charge of designing Ngake as my asset, and chose the moment Ngake leaps into the air out of the lake as his most important moment to depict in a key scene. The story is depicted through an abstracted style.
